Financial Aid Application Process Video Transcript Hello, my name is Isaiah Murray, and I’m one of the multicultural recruitment interns in the Undergraduate Admissions Office, and I’m here to talk about the financial aid application process. Students who are admitted to Cornell and have completed all aid application requirements will receive a financial aid notification shortly after they receive their admissions notification. This means that if you are applying for admission at Cornell and would like to have a financial aid award ready, you need to apply for financial aid now. Cornell awards need-based financial aid to all eligible domestic applicants and applicants with DACA status, in the form of grants, loans, and work expectation. We consider a lot of things in your financial aid application, including your family’s income, assets, number in household, number in college, and special circumstances. We do not award merit or athletic scholarships. If you take a look at the financial aid website, you’ll find a financial aid calculator, and you can fill in all of your information and get an estimate of your need-based aid eligibility. Cornell also welcomes international and undocumented students without DACA status to apply for admission and financial aid. Just keep in mind, financial aid is very limited. All of the information you need to apply for financial aid is available on our website: finaid.cornell.edu. If you have any questions along the way about applying for financial aid at Cornell University, we’re here to help you. Feel free to call, email, or follow us on Twitter @CornellFinAid. Thank you and have a great day.
