Cornell’s Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment will provide grant support to students who face extenuating financial challenges filing the application renewal fee according to the procedures of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Starting your financial aid application early is a small step that can make a big difference. With our dedicated Financial Aid team by your side, we aim to make this journey straightforward and stress-free. Let’s get started.

How to Apply

Cornell’s undergraduate admission process for U.S. students is need-blind, meaning interest in or need for financial aid is not amongst the many factors considered when making admission decisions.

Please submit this signed form. These forms require ink signatures. Electronic signatures will not be accepted.

2023-2024 Parent Asset Verification Form

Cornell has made the commitment to students who demonstrate financial need of meeting that need with one or more financial aid components. Each aid application is carefully reviewed and a specific aid package is designed to meet your need.

If the whereabouts of your noncustodial parent are unknown, or if you have extenuating circumstances regarding your situation, complete the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition. Note that third-party supporting documentation is required. Refusal of your noncustodial parent to provide information or support does not constitute a waiver.

As part of Federal Student Aid, some students are selected for verification. This isn't an indication that anything is wrong with your application, it is just a requirement that selected students have for Federal Student Aid. The federal verification process can include verification of your identity and a requirement that you attest to your educational purpose.
